Description
This is a favourite pattern amongst makers and slipjoint enthusiasts alike, known as “Nessie”. This one is made from RWL34 for the blade and spring, marine grade 316 stainless steel integral liners and subtle dovetailed bolsters, and scales that are cross-cut carbon fibre (sourced from a guy that worked on F1 racing cars), which give it a very stylish, almost “pinstripe” appearance, or a bit like a grain. Blade steel has been heat treated and tested to a good hardness, and the backspring tempered back for additional toughness and repeated flexing. This knife is reduced in price due to a little stiffness in closing, which I beleive will ease up with extended use but the heat treatment gives it full functionality. The knife comes with a lovely handmade leather belt pouch, hand stitched, wet molded, and lined with soft suede that can be worn on the belt
